Joshua Tree, California
Joshua Tree National Park is a quick 2.5-hour drive from Downtown Los Angeles. I love that this is self-guided, so you can stop, take pictures, and take in the scenery on your own terms. I wouldn’t suggest doing this in the middle of the summer when temperatures go up into the 100s. I went in late May, and the weather was perfect!
I highly recommend this quick trip if you want to get out of the city and into nature.
